Orioles Knock Red Sox Out of Wildcard Race!

The Orioles became the king spoilers last night by beating the Boston Red Sox. Although the Orioles are in dead last, it did not stop them from spoiling the playoff dreams of the Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox were in a tight race with the Tampa Bay Rays for the wild card spot, but the Orioles ended Boston's hopes by beating them 4 to 3.

Orioles are Good Spoilers

The Baltimore Orioles have won 6 out of there last 10 games and seem to love playing the role of spoilers at the end of the season. The Orioles were spoilers again Monday night as they beat the Boston Red Sox by a score of 6 to 3.

Orioles Have Lost 4 Straight

The last four games have been the worst stretch for the Baltimore Orioles since the eight game losing streak earlier in the season. It started with a blown six run lead against the Boston Red Sox. The New York Yankees then came to town and swept a 2 game series. The second game of the series wasn't even competitive as they pounded the Orioles 13-2. Yesterday, may have been the most embarassing loss of the season for the Orioles when they got pounded 17-5 by the Washington Nationals.

The Orioles will face the Washington Nationals again today and will try to end this losing streak. Jeremy Guthrie will be the starting pitcher and the Orioles will need a good outing to say the least!

Orioles Unable to Sweep Red Sox

The Baltimore Orioles have won the three game series against the Boston Red Sox but were unable to complete the sweep. Red Sox pitcher Lester remains undefeated against the Orioles and the O's only managed to get four hits tonight.

Orioles Need Good Series Against the Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox are coming to town this week for a 3 game series against the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards. The Orioles are currently sitting at the bottom of the American league East division and need to win at least 2 of 3 to get back into the hunt.

The first game of the series will be tomorrow April 26th at 7:05 pm
