Orioles Win Another Close One!

The Baltimore Orioles won another close ballgame today and avoid getting swept by the California Angels. Nick Markakis was the hero and batted in all three Orioles runs today. Instead of falling to .500, the Orioles now have a record of 9 wins and 7 losses. The Orioles managed to get 6 wins on this 10 game road trip. Final Score: Orioles 3 Angels 2

Orioles Fight to Stay Above .500

After 15 games, the Baltimore Orioles have a record of 8 wins and 7 losses. Today they are going up against the California Angels. At the time of this post the score is tied at 2 in the 9th inning.

Orioles Knock Red Sox Out of Wildcard Race!

The Orioles became the king spoilers last night by beating the Boston Red Sox. Although the Orioles are in dead last, it did not stop them from spoiling the playoff dreams of the Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox were in a tight race with the Tampa Bay Rays for the wild card spot, but the Orioles ended Boston's hopes by beating them 4 to 3.

First Inside the Park Homer at Camden Yards Ever!

Robert Andino made Oriole's history Monday night by hitting the very first inside the park homer at Camden Yards! Andino hit a three-run shot in the sixth inning that broke the game open and helped Orioles take a 6-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox. The game was the first of a season-ending three-game series with the Red Sox.

Orioles are Good Spoilers

The Baltimore Orioles have won 6 out of there last 10 games and seem to love playing the role of spoilers at the end of the season. The Orioles were spoilers again Monday night as they beat the Boston Red Sox by a score of 6 to 3.

Mike Flanagan Remembered

Many were shocked last week with the news of Mike Flanagan's death. Even more shocking was the news that it appeared to be an apparent suicide. I remember Mike Flanagan most as a kid, watching him pitch for the Orioles in the 1979 World Series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Mike Flanagan will remembered as a true Baltimore Oriole and one of the best pitchers in Orioles history. I pray for his family in their time of grief.

Orioles Snap 3 Game Losing Streak

It has been another very tough year for Baltimore Orioles fans to say the least, but the Orioles did snap their 3 game losing streak tonight. The Orioles managed to get four runs in the sixth inning to get the victory against the Toronto Blue Jays.
